As the Northern Hemisphere season reaches its climax, the RBN network has three superb May events lined-up for its members.

First up, taking place on the evening of Tuesday 16th May, will be RBN Reading’s event at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre.  The theme will be ‘The British & Irish Lions – team building lessons for your business’, with guest speakers Tim Stimpson and Thinus Delport.

Both Tim (19 caps for England and 1 for the British Lions) and Thinus (winner of 18 caps for the Springboks) have extensive experience of operating in the international sporting environment and in business management.  During their speeches and the following Q&A session, they will provide expert insight into both the upcoming tour to New Zealand and the processes that the Home Nations hope will lead to success.

Guests arriving early will be invited to enjoy a tour of the extensive facilities, based around the beautiful, nearly 800 year-old Abbey.

Long-time RBN supporters Nine Feet Tall will be celebrating the recent opening of their new London offices in ‘The Cheesegrater’ with a Champagne reception on Wednesday 24th May.

Ex-Wasps and Samoa star Dan Leo, founder of Pacific Rugby Players Welfare, will address the lucky members in attendance.

As well as discussing the social nuances of the Pacific Islands and their relationship with rugby, Dan will preview the summer’s Lions tour and field members’ questions.

Later the same evening, PWC will open its doors to RBN Glasgow members for an evening in the company of Nathan Bombrys, Managing Director of Glasgow Warriors.  In Nathan’s 6 years with the Warriors, he has overseen their growth from a club with 700 season-ticket holders to over 5,500.

Nathan will discuss the goings on behind-the-scenes at a top-level rugby club, the challenges they face and their plans for the future.

Alongside Nathan will be Greg Cann of the Pitstops Initiative, who’ll be relating the latest news from their programme of Improving Lives Through Sport.
