Next month, the Rugby Business Network will again be welcoming members to an event at the annual World Rugby Conference & Exhibition.
Held over the 14th & 15th November at Hilton London Metropole, World Rugby ConfEx 2016 will see rugby’s movers and shakers gathered together for two days of fascinating discussions, presentations and socials. If you are involved or simply interested in any aspect of rugby, or other professional sports, from athlete management to sponsorship rights, you should not miss this compelling event and priceless networking opportunity.
The RBN event, held on the evening of the 14th, will be MC’d by former South African Captain and RWC winner Bob Skinstad. The theme for the evening will be ‘Sustainable sponsorship and life after rugby’, with an expert panel consisting of: Mark McCafferty, CEO of Premiership Rugby; Simon Halliday, World Cup finalist with England and Chairman of European Professional Club Rugby; and Martin Anayi, Managing Director of Pro 12 Rugby.
As always, some of the sport’s biggest names will be taking an active part in the conference, from Lawrence Dallaglio OBE and World Rugby CEO Brett Gosper to senior figures from Nevada Gaming Control Board and the NFL. Among this year’s highlights will be:
Fan Engagement – connecting in a digital world, with: Lawrence Dallaglio OBE, BBH Sport; Mark Parkman, General Manager, Olympic Channel Services; Alexandra Willis, Head of Communications, Content and Digital, Wimbledon; Lewis Wiltshire, Senior Director of Media Partnerships for Twitter UK and Africa.
Protecting Sport from Corruption, with: Karl Bennison, Chief of Enforcement, Nevada Gaming Control Board; Ronnie Flanagan, Chairman, International Cricket Council Anti-Corruption Unit.
Breaking new markets – delivering and sustaining a truly global and inclusive game, with: Doug Schoninger, Chief Executive, PRO Rugby; Agustin Pichot, Vice-Chairman, World Rugby; Mark Waller, Executive Vice-President of International, NFL.
Reducing injury risk in rugby, with: Josh Blackie, Member Services, IRPA; Ken Quarrie, Senior Scientist, New Zealand Rugby; Martin Raftery, Chief Medical Officer, World Rugby.
We will be publishing more information over the coming weeks on the these and other ConfEx events.
RBN Squad members and Confex attendees will have priority on ticket allocation.
