The next month will see four RBN networking events take place around the world, with a first-class line-up of speakers from the worlds of rugby and business.
Leading the way is the Northeast Ohio RBN (NEO), who will tomorrow evening (10th June) be welcoming members to the HiHo Brewery. Yes, an RBN event at a brewery. What could go wrong?
If the above didn’t see you make an immediate booking, then the fact that Darren Morris and Farrah Douglas will be addressing members should seal the deal.
Ex-Wales and British & Irish Lions prop Darren is now Director of Rugby for Griffins Rugby in Dallas, while the equally impressive Farrah Douglas is a 26-times capped USA international, the new Head Coach of Mount St Mary’s Women’s varsity programme and the assistant coach with the USA Women’s National Team since 2012.
The above is a tough act to follow, but RBN Worcester look up to the challenge as their inaugural event is set to take place at Sixways Stadium on the morning of Tuesday 20th June, with a screening of the Lions’ final warm-up game. Complimentary breakfast baps and a guest appearance by a star player will be the cherries on top on a fantastic rugby event.
At this point it’s a relief to see that our local committees are all producing the goods, none more so than RBN Edinburgh, who have Scotland legend Scott Hastings to talk members through the Lions vs Hurricanes game on the morning of 27th June at the offices of BMO Global Asset Management.
Scott’s career saw him win 64 caps for his country and 2 more for the British & Irish Lions, while playing in three Rugby World Cups and touring twice with the Lions.
Last but not least, RBN London members will hear from Samoa and Wasps legend Dan Leo on the 5th July, when long-time RBN supporters Nine Feet Tall open the doors of their impressive new offices in London’s The Leadenhall Building.
Dan will hold a Q&A with members, fielding questions on his stellar career with club and country and his recent founding of Pacific Rugby Players Welfare.
